Over the course of two hours we will discuss growing and processing flax as part of a regenerative farming system. You will have a tour of the scutching mill and see how we process our flax. There will be an opportunity to see the 1940’s Mackies scutching turbine that Charlie restored in action.
Tea and coffee is included in the price (please let us know of any allergies).
We are a working farm first and foremost, so please don’t expect a typical visitor attraction. The ground can be rough and there is a short but steep hill up to the mill and some steps to the bathroom. Please contact us if you would like to discuss accessibility.
This event is suitable for ages 16 and above. We have our own cats and dogs so unfortunately can’t accommodate visiting pets.
