Dive into the fascinating world of flax. From sowing & growing through to all the stages of processing.

Over the course of two hours we will discuss growing and processing flax as part of a regenerative farming system. You will have a guided farm walk and a tour of the scutching mill. There will be an opportunity to have a go at some of the processing yourself. Tea and coffee is included in the price (please let us know of any allergies).

We are a working farm first and foremost, so please don’t expect a typical visitor attraction.

There will be mud and insects and farm machinery. Wellies and waterproof clothing are advised. The ground can be rough and there is a short but steep hill up to the mill and some steps to the bathroom. We hope to make the place more accessible in the future.

We have our own cats and dogs so please check before bringing yours.
