Good quality Irish tow flax fibre suitable for hand spinning and weaving linen as well many other uses such as composites, upholstery and bedding.

This flax fibre has been sustainably grown on Mallon Farm, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.  The crop supports biodiversity on the farm.

It has been harvested by hand and water retted using harvested rain water.  Water is reused as fertiliser restoring nutrients back into the soil.

After drying the flax has been broken and scutched in a 1940’s Mackie’s Scutching Turbine.
